OLEAN, NY – Among events scheduled for Saturday's first of three StrOleans this summer are two guided bike rides conducted by the Olean Cycling Club.
The first one is at 10 a.m. trip around the Allegheny River Valley Trail. The second one will start at 11 a.m. with a 20-to-30 mile ride around the hills and dirt roads in Olean area. Both will start and finish at the Olean Center Mall. The first will be done in time for participants to do the second.
A former Olean resident, retired Brig. Gen. Maureen K. LeBoeuf, will sign copies of her book on leadership, “Developing Your Philosophy of Living & Leading One Moment at a Time,” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, 301 N. Union St.
At 4 p.m., Della Moore, executive director of the African American Center for Cultural Development, will lead a 30-minute walking tour that will depart from the Chamber building and proceed toward Lincoln Park, circle the park to the soon-to-be African American Center for Cultural Development and end at Jamestown Community College. Moore plans to "be telling a little of the history of some of the buildings as we walk."

The other 2019 StrOleans are scheduled for Aug. 16, a Friday, and Oct. 26, a Saturday.
