OLEAN, NY – Oiler fans packed Bradner Stadium Friday for the opening game in the New York Collegiate Baseball League Championship Series, but the Onondaga Flames spoiled the party with a 7-3 win over the home team.

The best-of-three series moves to Syracuse Saturday for a 3 p.m. game at Onondaga Community College. A third game, if necessary, will be played Sunday at 7 p.m. at OCC.

Mike Steffan gave the Flames a 1-0 lead with a solo home run in the second inning, and Onondaga scored six more times over the next few innings to cruise to the win
