CLINTON, Iowa -- Former St. Bonaventure University pitcher Connor Grey tossed a perfect game Friday for the Kane County Cougars, a Class A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Grey, a right-hander from Frewsburg, struck out eight as the Cougars defeated the Clinton LumberKings 5-0. The LumberKings are an affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
Seventy of Grey’s 100 pitches were strikes. With the win, he improved his record to 3-1.
Grey’s perfect game was the first one ever pitched in the organization.
