OLEAN, NY — Virtual meetings and events have become the “new norm” for the Greater Olean area. The 10th Annual Corporate Challenge will be no exception.
Instead of teams gathering on the same day, Corporate Challenge sponsors, the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce and the Olean High School Sports Boosters, have broadened their horizons to offer a flexible option that allows participants to choose their preferred times between Oct. 1 and Oct. 8. Teams of runners and teams of walkers can choose courses and enjoy the fun of challenging coworkers, family and friends, getting social through media posts, and even hosting competitions among peers.
The GOACC reminds interested persons to register by Monday to ensure receiving a shirt, race buff and food voucher to Pizzaland. The fee is $22. For those who register after Monday, the $22 fee will remain but sponsors cannot guarantee the availability of promotional items.
Additional information and registration details are available at 716-372-4433 or by email.
“We’re working hard to continue to promote good health and wellness within our community regardless of our circumstances and encourage all to come together to make the most of what we are permitted to do. It’s time to show off how those home workouts have benefited you,” Erica Dreher, GOACC member services manager, said in a news release.
Individual awards will be offered for Fastest CEO; Fastest Man and Fastest Woman. Awards also will be offered for community and corporate teams. Teams need to be determined to be runners or walkers before they undertake the race. Community teams are comprised of friends, family and non-employment associates. Corporate teams are made up of employees of a company (or their spouses).
