ALLEGANY, NY - Deputy Mayor Kelly Granger, who ran unopposed for village trustee, was re-elected Tuesday with 26 votes.

In her new one-year term, Granger plans to work on the water and sewer infrastructure improvements for the village. She also has said she is looking forward to Allegany events such as a plant and flower show planned for late spring and the "Rally in the Valley" motorcycle event in August.

Granger, who is the mother of twin 16-year-old girls, teaches nursing at Trocaire College in Buffalo. She has lived in Allegany most of her life.

"We are constantly working to improve and advance the Village of Allegany, and I am honored to be a part of this wonderful group. I look forward to continuing my tenure," she said.
