OLEAN, NY -- Grant applications for the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation’s (CRCF) next funding cycle will be due April 21.
According to Karen Niemic Buchheit, the foundation’s executive director, the unrestricted community fund allows the board to approve grants allocated to help meet changing needs in the area.
“The grants, typically between $100 and $2,000, help nonprofit organizations fund important projects that have a significant positive effect on our region,” Buchheit said.
According to Buchheit, CRCF’s board reviews applications based on the applying organization’s stability, the impact its work has on the community, the feasibility of the project proposed in the application and the role a grant would have in the overall project.
Applicants must also be 501(c)(3) organizations.
CRCF, which was established in 1994, presents grants in November and May every year. Grants from the foundation support many areas, including education, scholarships, health care, the arts, community development, human service and youth development.
CRCF is also on Facebook (facebook.com/cattfoundation) and Twitter (@CattFoundation).
