HINSDALE, NY — Hinsdale Central School will reopen on Monday, according to a notice posted on the district’s website.
All students were taught remotely on Thursday and Friday after an elementary school student tested positive for the coronavirus. Eight students and three staff members began 14-day quarantines on Tuesday.
“During this closure, our maintenance/custodial staff have completed a thorough deep cleaning of the buildings and busses in order to ensure a safe learning environment for re-opening on Monday,” the notice read.
According to the notice, the Cattaraugus County Health Department informed the district of the student’s positive test on Wednesday.
The notice also indicated that the county and state health departments have completed the contact tracing process.
