HINSDALE, NY – As the second annual Hinsdale Horseradish Festival drew to a close on a cool and rainy first Sunday in June, organizers and vendors said they were happy with the overall turnout.

Friday and Saturday, the weather was sunny and pleasant, and the festival attracted significant crowds, said Jeff Vandecar, a festival originator who is part owner of Fat Root, LLC, a limited liability company that bottles and sells prepared horseradish.

The festival was primarily sponsored by the Hinsdale Historical Society and the Hinsdale and Ischua volunteer fire departments.
