“For donors like Roberta, a family foundation fund is a great vehicle for philanthropy as it provides both flexibility and a perpetual way to remember loved ones,” said CRCF Executive Director Karen Niemic Buchheit. “Family and charity are both important to her, and the Mahar Family Foundation Fund allows her to preserve the memory of loved ones and lend support to charities that she loves and that need support each year.”
The Mahar Family Foundation has made possible nearly $12,000 in grants supporting local charitable organizations since Roberta and her late husband established the fund in 2004.
Donations to the Mahar Family Foundation can be made at 301 N. Union St., Suite 203, Olean, NY 14760, or online at www.cattfoundation.org.
