CUBA, NY – An Ohio man died Tuesday after being struck by a tractor trailer on I-86.

State Police said Kyle W. Willis, 41, of Dorset, Ohio, was attempting to repair his own tractor trailer on the eastbound side of the highway when he was struck by the other vehicle early Tuesday morning. Willis was transported to Olean General Hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to police.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating this collision with the assistance of the State Police Collision Reconstruction and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement units.

The New York State Department of Transportation, the Cuba Fire Company, the New Hudson Fire Company and the Friendship Fire Company assisted with road closures and provded other assistance at the scene of the accident.
