OLEAN, NY — The Olean Oilers overcame an early deficit and rallied to defeat the Genesee Rapids 6-5 Monday.  

The Rapids put three runs on the board in the top of the first, but the Oilers scored in four of the next five innings to take the lead. 

Nathan Holt pitched five innings and notched the win for the Oilers, who are off to a 4-0 start in the 2018 New York Collegiate Baseball League season.

Holt gave up four runs, but only one was earned. The Oilers committed four errors in the game. 

Olean first baseman Jimmy Webb had three hits and an RBI. Second baseman Dominic Cecere also had three hits for the Oilers.

Several busloads of students from Olean and Portville attended the game, which was billed as 'Kids Day' by the Oilers. 

Olean plays again Tuesday, taking on the Sherrill Silversmiths at home in a 6 p.m. start.
