OLEAN, NY—Students in kindergarten through sixth grade are encouraged to participate in the 2017 New York State Senate Earth Day Poster Contest.
The slogan for this year's contest is “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” and students are challenged to create posters that promote awareness of environmental issues.
Each senate district will have a winning poster. In the 57th District, which covers Cattaraugus, Allegany and Chautauqua the counties and parts of Livingston County, the winning poster will be displayed on the website of Sen. Catharine Young, as well as in the Legislative Office Building at 198 State St. in Albany.
All participants will receive a certificate of appreciation
Submissions must be uploaded by March 24 through the link on Young’s website, young.nysenate.gov. Earth Day is April 22.
