OLEAN, NY -- The Common Council is getting right back to work after the Christmas holiday.
The council will hold a public hearing Tuesday at 6 p.m. on a proposal that would require the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy whenever a change in ownership or occupancy takes place at an existing structure in the city. The hearing will take place in Council Chambers of the Olean Municipal Building, 101 E. State St.
The proposal also appears on the agenda for a council meeting that will follow the public hearing. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:35 p.m. in the same location as the hearing.
Other items on the meeting agenda include:
- A proposal to enter into an agreement with Clark Patterson Lee for Engineering Design Services of Buffalo for intersection improvements at North Barry and Main streets and Front and Main streets as part of Phase 2 of the Walkable Olean project. The agreement is for an amount not to exceed $197,110.
- A proposal to enter into an agreement with LaBella Associates of Buffalo for sampling and analysis of groundwater and surface water samples for the Ischua Landfill at Olean Airport. The agreement will run from 2018 through 2020 for a cost not to exceed $68,100.
