WEBSTER, NY – The Olean Oilers cruised to 6-3 victory over the Rochester Ridgemen Tuesday in the opening game of the New York Collegiate Baseball League’s Western Division Finals.
The best-of-three series moves to Olean Wednesday for a 6 p.m. contest at Bradner Stadium.
Olean built an early lead with two runs in the first inning and three in the second, adding a final run in the sixth.
Cole Hollins had a big day at the plate for the Oilers with three hits and two RBIs. Nolan Hunt pitched seven innings for the win. Nathan Holt pitched two scoreless innings to close out the game.
