OLEAN, NY -- The city plans to spend $18,000 to buy a backhoe.
A resolution to transfer funds from three contingency accounts to purchase the machine is on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Common Council.
The funding would come from the city's general fund, water and sewer contingency accounts.
Under terms of the resolution, $6,000 would be transferred from each contingency account to the city's vehicle replacement fund.
The council is scheduled to meet at 6:35 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Olean Municipal Building, 10 E. State St.
