SYRACUSE, NY – The Olean Oilers post-season run came to an end Saturday when they fell to the Onondaga Flames 11-4 at Onondaga Community College and lost the New York Collegiate Baseball League Championship Series.

The Flames won the opening game of the best-of-three series in Olean Friday at Bradner Stadium.

The Oilers finished the regular season in second place of the NYCBL Western Division with a 25-17 record.

Olean then won a winner-take-all wild card game against the Niagara Power to qualify for the Western Division finals against the first-place Rochester Ridgemen.

The Oilers swept the division series 2-0, putting them in place to face Onondaga in the championship series.
