OLEAN, NY - The 100 block of West Sullivan Street will be closed to traffic for several hours Tuesday, according to an email from the Olean Department of Public Works.
The road closure is needed because a crane will be set in the road to raise materials onto the roof of the former Olean Business Institute building, Linda Huff, the department’s office supervisor, wrote in the email.
Work is expected to start at 7 a.m. and conclude by 3 p.m., Huff wrote.
She added that drivers should plan to find alternate routes and that while the road is closed, eastbound traffic will still have access to the Rite-Aid parking lot.
The Olean Business Development Corporation is working to convert the building into a business incubator. TAPinto Greater Olean reported details of the project in a March 16 story.
