ALLEGANY, NY—Incumbent Deryle L. Pinney is facing a challenge from Christina M. Golley in Tuesday’s election for Allegany Town Clerk.
Pinney is running as a Republican. Golley is the Democratic and Conservative parties’ candidate.
As clerk, Pinney said she has updated the town’s record retention, started electronically maintaining records so that they are easier to access, and has fully utilized the cash reporting system.
She she hopes to continue provide assistance to the residents of Allegany by expanding on the electronic retention system used for old records. She would also like to secure a grant in order to archive all records for easier future access, while actively pursuing grants that will assist in the improvement of Allegany.
“One of my goals is to continue to increase the efficiency of the Clerk’s office and to provide optimum service to our taxpayers,” she said.

She also plans to make sure all proper training is done so that she can know all of the laws and requirements of Allegany.
