FRIENDSHIP NY – State Police arrested an Allegany man on DWI and drug charges Sunday.
James S. Sloane, 58, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Sloane was arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 86 in Friendship. Police said troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition, and expired prescription pills and marijuana were found in his vehicle.
Sloane was arraigned in Friendship Town Court. He is due to reappear in that court at a later date.
