BOLIVAR, NY – A Portville woman was arrested on multiple charges Sunday after she was involved in three accidents, according to State Police.
Diana M. Taggerty, 47, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, refusal to submit a breath test, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and numerous additional traffic infractions.
Police said that during their investigation of a one-car accident on County Road 18 in Bolivar, Taggerty, the driver, exhibited obvious signs of intoxication, and troopers determined she had been operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Troopers also discovered she had been involved in two other property damage accidents.
According to police, Taggerty failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. She was arrested and transported to State Police barracks in Amity, where she refused to submit to a chemical breath test, police said.
Taggerty was arraigned in Bolivar Town Court, where she was remanded to the Allegany County Jail. She is due to reappear in that court in September.
