OLEAN, NY – State and local law enforcement authorities arrested a Portville woman Friday for violating parole.

Police said Rachael Y. Slawiak, 25, also was charged with two felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree. She was arrested by Olean police and New York State Parole Officer Andy Dombeck.

Olean police transported Slawiak to the Olean Police Station for booking procedures after investigators from the Olean Police Street Crimes Unit conducted controlled purchases of suboxone and fentanyl.

Acccording to police, District attorney Lori P. Rieman presented the case to a Cattaraugus County Grand Jury. County Judge Ronald D. Ploetz issued an arrest warrant for Slawiak, after which police transported her to the Cattaraugus County Jail to await further proceedings.
