OLEAN, NY – St. Bonaventure University’s club hockey team lost an Upstate New York Collegiate Hockey League quarterfinal playoff game to the SUNY Fredonia Blue Devils 8-2 on Saturday in the William O. Smith Recreation Center. 

Fredonia started off strong with three goals in the first period. With 30 seconds left at the end of that period, Connor O’Brien, Number 61, scored a goal for the Bonnies, making the score 3-1.

Jake Kaempf, Number 26, scored for the Bonnies in the second period. Fredonia ended the period with three more goals, making the score 6-2.

In the third period, Fredonia scored two more goals.

The St. Bonaventure team is scheduled to be in West Chester, Pennsylvania, March 10 to 15 for the Collegiate Hockey Federation inaugural Federation Cup, a 32-team tournament.
