ST BONAVENTURE, NY — The university reported a new case of the coronavirus, bringing its total since Aug. 1 to 17, according to SBU’s New York State COVID-19 report card. Four cases are active; 13 individuals have recovered. 

The individual who tested positive was one of 19 campus community members who received a COVID-19 test Monday. 

Six of the university’s 52 on-campus quarantine spaces are in use, while four students are quarantined off campus. Additionally, one student is isolated on campus; two are isolated off campus.

The university has administered 1,415 COVID-19 tests to date. The positivity rate among campus community members is 0.012 percent. Eight of the positive tests have been detected through university-administered testing, while nine positives have been detected through testing administered off campus.
