ALBANY, NY – Libraries in Cuba and Portville have been awarded state funds for construction projects.
The Cuba Circulating Library will receive $11,250 to replace its boilers with an energy-efficient heating system, and the Portville Free Library will receive $102,973 for major exterior renovations.
The monies will be provided through the New York State Library Construction Fund. Sen. Catharine Young, who represents the Greater Olean area in the state senate, announced the funding.
“These grants allow libraries to make much-needed improvements and upgrades while protecting local taxpayers,” Young said.
