LITTLE VALLEY, NY – Three women from the Greater Olean area were arrested Monday for having contraband in prison.

Amanda Weed, 32, of Olean, Brittney Degroat, 24, of Salamanca and Molly Nicoletta, 36, of Hinsdale were arrested after a complaint from the Cattaraugus County Jail, according to a news release from the county Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation revealed that all three individuals were in possession of contraband and that Nicoletta introduced the contraband into the jail, the Sheriff’s Office said.

All three individuals were charged with possession of contraband in a prison. Nicoletta also was charged with introducing contraband into a prison. The Sheriff’s Office did not identify the contraband.

The three women were processed and released back to the custody of the jail. They will be scheduled to appear in the Town of Little Valley Court at a later date.
