ALLEGANY, NY – State Police arrested an Olean woman on drug charges Tuesday after a laboratory analysis of a waxy substance she had when police stopped her for speeding showed that the substance was methamphetamine.

Jerrica J Mckune, 30, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and ordered to appear in Town of Allegany court in September.

According to police, Mckune was stopped for speeding in Allegany on July 12. Troopers discovered that a passenger in the vehicle had a small amount of marijuana and that she had an unknown waxy substance believed to be a narcotic, police said. The passenger was charged with for unlawful possession of marijuana, and the waxy substance was sent to a New York State Police laboratory for analysis.
