CUBA, NY -- Persons who enjoy doing crafts, chatting and drinking wine are invited to attend the Winter Wine and Design class at the Palmer Opera House & Events Center, 12 W. Main St., on Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m.
Ashlie Dearmitt of the Scarlet Lily will teach the class, instructing attendees in the making of floral centerpieces to brighten up their homes.
Limited spots are available for adults only. Tickets are $24, and $4 of each ticket will benefit the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the historic venue. Tickets may be purchased at The Palmer, or by calling (585) 209-5512.
The Palmer Opera House in Cuba is a vintage theater steeped with rich character and details of another era. It was built in 1867, and after a long and rich history fell into disrepair. Restoration by the Cuba Friends of Architecture, the nonprofit organization charged with maintaining the historic venue, began in 2006.
