OLEAN, NY -- Due to unforeseen circumstances, yard waste collection scheduled for Wednesday will be delayed by a day until Thursday.
The city Department of Public Works announced the change in a news release issued Tuesday.
Individuals with questions should call the department at 716-376-5650.
The city resumed monthly curbside pickup of yard waste in April and will continue the program through September.
There is no charge for the service. Rules for pickup include:
- All yard waste must be in paper lawn bags and/or containers no larger than 30 gallons.
- No plastic bags are accepted.
- Brush must be bundled together with twine or rope and no longer than 3 feet long and 18 inches in diameter.
- Yard waste must be to curb by 7 a.m. on collection day.
