OLEAN, NY -- The 32nd annual Olean General Hospital Auxiliary Strawberry Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., June 21 on the front lawn of the hospital, 515 Main St.
In addition to the more than 80 pounds of strawberries used to serve strawberry shortcake, the event will offer sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, Texas hots, a baked potato bar, drinks, baked goods, craft items, raffles and entertainment.
WPIG will do a live remote from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The hospital also will sponsor a health fair from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hospital services to be featured will include the cardiac catheterization lab, nutrition/diabetes education, clinical education, pediatrics, surgical services and obstetrics.
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. near the emergency room entrance.
Other community organizations included in the health fair are the Alzheimer’s Association, Audio Care, Inc., Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Western New York, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department, Directions in Independent Living, Home Care and Hospice, Olean Out of the Darkness Walk, Southern Tier Heath Care Systems, Inc., and the YMCA.
