The Olean Public Library challenges teens and adults to write short stories set in a hypothetical world where all books are banned.

The short story contest calls attention to the 2020 theme of Banned Books Week, Sept. 27 to Oct. 3, which is "Censorship Is a Dead End. Find Your Freedom to Read."

Submissions should be no more than five pages in length and can be submitted to the
Circulation Desk or emailed to afox@oleanlibrary.org throughout September.
