OLEAN, NY — The Tri-County Arts Council, 110 W. State St., will host two weeklong winter break clay camps from Feb. 17 to 21.

The first camp of the day will be conducted from 9 to 10 a.m. and is for children ages 4 to 7. On the first three days, students will use molds to create ceramic masks, a coil built bowl and two small dishes. On the final days, they will then glaze their work and have the opportunity to add a touch of color to them.

The second daily camp is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to noon and is for ages 7 to 11. Students will learn the process behind clay and focus on three different hand-building techniques, creating two ceramic masks, a coil vase that will be decorated and two square plates. At the end of the week, students will glaze and add color to their work.
