CUBA, NY – Four candidates, none of them incumbents, are running to fill two seats on the Town of Cuba Council.
Melodie Farwell and Richard Patterer are running on the Republican Party line. The Independence Party line includes Patterer and Michael M. Weber. Jeff Griswold is the Retired MSGT Party candidate.
Attempts were made to contact each of the candidates, but calls and emails were unreturned.
The Cuba Town Supervisor, the Superintendent of Highways and two of the three Assessor positions also are on the ballot, but all candidates for those posts are running unopposed and all are Republicans.
Council member Lee James is the candidate for Supervisor, a post held by Joseph Miller, who is not seeking re-election. Incumbent Chad Smith is the Superintendent of Highways candidate. Merlin Briggs and Richard Truax are seeking re-election to their Assessor posts.
