James Q. Gulnac, a retired government official, ran on the Common Sense 4 Change party line, and Evelyn Cruz ran on the Alternate Party line.

Dougherty, who works in construction, said his goal for his upcoming term is to serve the City of Olean and to keep everything running smoothly.

“I’m excited that voters got to use their constitutional right to move themselves towards the candidate they wanted to represent them,” Dougherty said.
