The deadline to register to vote in the June 25 primary election is Friday.
Mail-in voter registration forms must be postmarked by midnight Friday and received by a board of elections no later than June 5 to be valid for the upcoming primary.
New Yorkers who wish to register in-person may do so at their county boards of elections. Individuals also may register at the Department of Motor Vehicles website if they have a New York State Drivers License, non-driver ID Card or Learner's Permit. Friday’s deadline applies to in-person and DMV registrations.
The voter registration form can be downloaded from the State Board of Elections website: www.elections.ny.gov.
Individuals who are 17 and will turn 18 before the end of the calendar year can pre-register to be eligible to vote in any election that occurs on or after their birthday.
