The Nutrition Outreach & Education Program (NOEP) has scheduled free summer weekday meals for children and teens at several locations in Cattaraugus County starting July 8.
Reservations or registration are not necessary. Youths interested in a meal should simply show up. The age limit for teens is 18; young people who have disabilities can attend the meals through age 21.
In Olean, two of the five sites will offer meals Monday through Friday through Aug. 16: Archbishop Walsh Academy, 208 N. 24th St., 10:45-11:30 a.m., and Franchot Park, 201 Rear W. Green St., 12:15-1 p.m.
Two Olean sites will offer meals weekdays through Aug. 1: Olean High School, 410 W. Sullivan St., 11:45-12:15, and Oak Hill Park, 201 N. Fourth St., 12:15-1.
A fifth Olean site, the William O. Smith Recreation Center, will offer meals weekdays through Aug. 8, noon-1 p.m.
In Cattaraugus, meals will be offered at the Wildwood Recreation Pool, 18 Memorial Drive, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays through Aug. 14, noon-1 p.m.
In Franklinville, meals will be offered at the Franklinville Elementary School, 32 N. Main St., Mondays through Thursdays through Aug. 8, noon-1 p.m.
In Little Valley, meals will be offered at two sites, noon-12:30 p.m., through Aug. 16: Little Valley Park, 101 First St., Monday through Friday, and the Memorial Library of Little Valley, 110 Rock City St., weekdays except Wednesdays.
In Salamanca, meals will be offered at three sites. The Baptist Church, 443 Center St., and South Street Park, 36 South Ave., will have the same schedule: Mondays through Fridays through Aug. 16, noon-1 p.m. At the Seneca Intermediate School, 50 Iroquois Drive, meals will be offered Mondays through Thursdays, noon-12:45 p.m., with Aug. 14 as the final date.
And in West Valley, meals will be offered at the West Valley Central School, 5359 School St., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through Aug. 16, 11-11:30 a.m.
