The Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services has set up collection bins for homemade mask donations for the coronavirus response.The masks will be distributed to health care workers and community members in need.
Beginning Wednesday, masks may be dropped off during business hours at:
- The Cattaraugus County buildings at 1 Leo Moss Drive, Olean, and 303 Court St., Little Valley. Bins are located inside the main entrances between the automatic doors.
- Lil’s Diner at 9682 Main St., Machias.
- Master’s Plan Café at 9586 Railroad St., Dayton.
Hedley Brook Insurance at 818 W. State St., Olean, also will be a bin site, but asks that individuals call 716-474-9429 to arrange a drop off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Office of Emergency Services is requesting that donors prewash the masks if possible and include notes with their names, mailing addresses and phone numbers so the agency can thank them.
