The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed a 120th case of the coronavirus Monday, according to a press release issued by the department.
The latest case is a woman who lives in the northwest quadrant of the county, according to the press release. The woman, who has been asymptomatic, was tested for COVID-19 on Thursday as part of a pre-op exam for an upcoming surgical procedure. The woman received her COVID-19 positive result on Sunday.
The department has begun thorough contact tracing of the woman.
There are eight active COVID-19 cases in the county; 108 residents have recovered, and four have died.
