OLEAN, NY – The second round of the city-wide leaf collection will begin Tuesday, according to the Department of Public Works. No tree limbs, branches or ornamental grass will be taken.

Leaves will be picked from pavements and loaded into dump trucks in this order:

  • East of North and South Union streets to the Olean Creek and Allegheny River
  • West Olean from Union Street to the west city line, south of West Sullivan Street
  • Area immediately north of West Sullivan Street, including areas along Wayne, Coleman and Cross streets
  • North Olean
  • Boardmanville area
  • South Olean
  • East Olean

A DPW official said there is no way of knowing what days the pickups will be occurring on which streets because it is unknown how many people will be raking leaves.
