OLEAN, NY — Department of Public Works crews and professional tree cutters will be out all day Friday clearing blocked roadways, sidewalks and the Allegany River Trail.
Branches and brush from trees in rights-of-way trees can be left for pickup. The department is asking property owners to dispose of branches and brush from private trees so we the city can focus on opening streets and sidewalks.
According to a Facebook post from the department, a significant amount of storm damage to trees and branches in the city took place Thursday. Crews began working on the damage Thursday evening.
