OLEAN, NY – The city will receive $911,454 in state funds for its Washington Ave Water Main Replacement Project. The grant will finance about two-thirds of the $1,519,090 estimated project cost.
The monies are part of more than $416 million in Water Infrastructure Improvement Act and Intermunicipal Water Infrastructure Grant Program funds announced Tuesday by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.
"By investing in improving our state's water infrastructure, we are laying the foundation for regional growth and prosperity while also protecting our natural resources," Cuomo said. "These investments in our communities will help ensure residents in every corner of the state have access to safe, clean drinking water, helping to build a stronger New York for all."
