CUBA, NY — The Village Department of Public Works will conduct spring fire hydrant flushing and maintenance Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

According to a post on the village Facebook page, residents can expect mild water discoloration as hydrants are flushed in their areas and may wish to cease running laundry machines or automatic ice makers until completion.

Water is safe for bathing and consumption, but residents are advised to run their faucets momentarily to let the initial water pass.
