The Cattaraugus County Department of Health has reported its first COVID-19 related death.
The individual was a 77-year-old man who had a number of underlying medical complications, Cattaraugus County Health Director Dr. Kevin Watkins told TAPinto Greater Olean Tuesday.
Watkins said the man was recently admitted to Mercy Hospital Buffalo and later transferred to St. Joseph's Hospital, also in Buffalo, where he passed away Monday.
“We are extending our deepest condolences to his family and the entire Cattaraugus County Community,” Watkins said.
