All Cattaraugus County transfer stations will be open during their normal operating days and times starting Monday, Howard VanRensselaer, chair of the county legislature, announced Saturday.
The decision reverses a directive VanRensselaer issued on Thursday that closed transfer stations in Allegany, Conewango, Machias, Dayton, Five Points and Farwell, leaving Portville and Salamanca as the only transfer stations in the county that remained open.
A press release issued Saturday said the change was a result of “directive modifications” from Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo
