OLEAN, NY – Anne Milligan, a patient accounts representative at Olean General Hospital, received the hospital’s July Star Award.
Milligan celebrated 30 years at the hospital in July. She started her career at St. Francis Hospital in Olean in 1989. She is an outpatient Medicare biller and a mentor to her coworkers.
“She has a vast knowledge of billing and insurance regulations and takes the time to help train new employees,” Norine Jones, a patient financial services patient accounts manager, said. “She is kind, patient and wonderful with the patients she deals with, taking the time to listen and resolve their billing problems. She is truly valued for her dedication to her job and the hospital. Anne is a regular volunteer for the annual Strawberry Festival as well as a volunteer at various other organizations in the community.”
The Star Award is presented monthly to an employee who demonstrates outstanding performance and inspires the same in others. Employees are nominated by patients or coworkers for exceptional customer satisfaction, continuous performance improvement, teamwork, communication, ownership/accountability and excellence.
