The Cattaraugus County Department of Health confirmed two additional cases of the coronavirus, bringing the county’s total to 41, according to a press release issued Sunday. 

The 40th and 41st cases are women who live in the northwest quadrant of the county. The department tested each woman on Friday and confirmed positive results on Saturday.

The woman confirmed as the 40th case has no significant travel history. She developed a persistent cough, headaches and body aches.

The woman confirmed as the 41st case is a health care worker at a Buffalo nursing home and had direct contact with a COVID-19-positive coworker. She developed a cough, shortness of breath, headaches and body aches.

The department has begun a thorough contact tracing on the individuals.
