The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed a 49th case of the coronavirus Monday, according to a press release issued by the department.
The 49th confirmed case is a man who lives in the southeast quadrant of the county and has a frequent travel history to Ohio, according to the press release. He is asymptomatic and was tested for COVID-19 on Friday as part of a pre-op exam for upcoming elective surgery. A COVID-19 positive result came back Sunday.
The department has begun a thorough contact tracing on the individual.
