The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed two more cases of the coronavirus Thursday evening, bringing the county’s total to 55, according to a press release issued by the department.
The 54th confirmed case is a male who lives in the southeast quadrant of the county, according to the press release. The man developed fever, chills, congestion, nausea and body aches. The man was tested at WellNow Urgent Care on May 16, and his COVID-19 positive results came back May 21, according to the press release.

The man was admitted to a health center on May 4, where he received a COVID-19 test. His results came back negative. The man developed a fever and chills on May 16, and he received another test. His COVID-19 positive results came back on May 19.
The department has begun a thorough contact tracing on the individuals.
There are 16 active COVID-19 cases in Cattaraugus County.
