The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed a 75th case of the coronavirus Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by the department, the 75th confirmed case is a man who lives in the southwest quadrant of the county. The man works at an Olean healthcare facility and received a COVID-19 test on June 2 as part of a recent state requirement for all adult healthcare facilities to test employees twice weekly. His COVID-19 positive result came back Tuesday. He has been asymptomatic and reports no significant travel history.
The department has begun a thorough contact tracing on the man, according to the press release.
There are seven active COVID-19 cases in the county; 64 individuals have recovered, and four have died.
