The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed three new cases of the coronavirus Wednesday, bringing the county’s total to 78.

According to a press release issued by the department, all three individuals work at Olean health care facilities and were tested for COVID-19 last week as part of a New York State requirement that all nursing home and adult healthcare employees be tested twice weekly. The employees have all been asymptomatic and report no significant travel history.

The 76th confirmed case is a woman who lives in the southeast quadrant of the county, according to the press release. She was tested for COVID-19 Friday, and her positive result came back Wednesday.
