The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed a 73rd case of the coronavirus Saturday, according to a press release issued by the department.
The 71st confirmed case is a woman who lives in southeast quadrant of the county. According to the press release, she recently returned from Florida, where she had been vacationing for several months. The woman, who has been asymptotic, denies any contact with a known COVID-19 positive individual. She was tested for COVID-19 Thursday, and her COVID-19 positive result came back Saturday, according to the press release.
The department has begun a thorough contact tracing on the woman.
There are 10 active COVID-19 cases in the county: 59 individuals have recovered, and four have died.
